The Kochi international triennial exhibition of prints began in 1990, with the hope of creating magnificent print works using Tosa washi paper and further developing both washi and printmaking cultures,
As its name suggests, this exhibition is held once every three years.With each iteration, high-quality works from around the world gather, making it an internationally acclaimed exhibition.
Since the exhibition is hosted in Kochi, a world-class producer of Japanese traditional paper, artwork submissions are limited to those that use paper as the primary material.
